Hymn of Praise
“O Come, O Come Emmanuel” Performed by Sugarland
Lighting of the Advent Wreath
Apostle’s Creed https://youtu.be/GLrLCJ1MQGI
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Almighty God, as John the Baptist identified the arrival of the Messiah, this Advent season, that role falls on us. As we bring our tithes and offerings to you, we pray that our giving continues to point to the Christ who comes in love and compassion, with more concern for those who don’t have enough and little concern that those who have so much will get more. May our giving in this season reflect our hope for a new kind of kingdom to reign in our world. We pray this in the name of the Messiah, Jesus our Savior. Amen. (Mark 1:1-8)

The Lord's Prayer https://youtu.be/9Pq-HzVIn2I
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
Hymn of Preparation
Take this time to praise God, to pray and clear your mind, invite God to speak to you through the message.
“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” Performed by Pentatonix
“Almost Christmas: Altogether Hope” (Luke 1:5-16)
Hymn of Reflection
Take this time to pray, to sing, to reflect on the message, ask God how you should respond, ask God for help.
“Hope For Everyone” Performed by Matt Maher
Be people of hope. Let hope live in your heart and share the hope of Christ with all you meet. Share hope by noticing someone else’s humanity. Share hope by listening to someone’s story. Share hope by praying for our world. In this Advent season, we need to see, feel, and share hope. As you go out into the wonder of God’s creations, share hope with those you meet.
During these unique times, I am deeply thankful each of you has joined us in this very special way to gather and worship the Lord our God.
In Christ, Pastor Abe Zimmerman
